Beverly Wayne
M.S., S.V.S., C.V., R.T

From 1985 to 2000, I worked with Dr. Clay Jorgenson at the Spokane County Jail on intake work for individuals convicted of sex offenses. I also assisted with Dr. Jorgenson's G.A.L. intake work. In 2000 to 2003, Dr. Jorgenson was my mentor while we opened Spokane Family Services. I have continued my education through online and in-person courses with PESI, as well as various workshops in play therapy, Washington social work, risk management, end of life issues, and marriage and family therapy.

Additionally, I am a licensed Washington State mediator through The Pacific Family Mediation Institute. I have worked with WMC and was previously licensed as a registered counselor until 2010, when I decided to allow my license to lapse. I am passionate about advocating for families, and have served on the board for Indian Child Welfare through the Division of Children and Family Services. Furthermore, I believe continued education and practical experience are essential to my profession, which I have been involved with for approximately ten years.

Elderly Care Manager

We support older adults and their families in managing their care needs. We assess the physical, emotional, and social needs of the elderly person and develop personalized care plans. Coordinate various services, such as healthcare and home care, and act as advocates for the older adult, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected. We provide ongoing monitoring, support, and crisis intervention when necessary. Our goals as elderly care managers are to enhance the older adult's quality of life while offering guidance and support to their family members.

Supervised Visitation Specialist

As Supervised Visitation Specialists, our roles are to facilitate supervised visits between a parent and child in cases where there are concerns about the child's safety or well-being. We provide a safe and neutral environment for the visit, and ensure that the visitation adheres to any court-ordered guidelines or restrictions. During the visit, we may observe and document interactions between the parent and child, and intervene if necessary to ensure that the child's needs are being met. We may also provide feedback to the court or other involved parties about the visitation, as well as any concerns or issues that arise during the visit. Our ultimate goal is to promote a positive and healthy relationship between the parent and child while prioritizing the child's safety and well-being.

Financial Advocate / Life Coaching

As Life Coaches, our role is to help individuals identify and achieve their personal and professional goals. We work with clients to clarify their values, priorities, and aspirations, and to develop a plan for achieving their desired outcomes. We may help them identify any limiting beliefs or self-defeating behaviors that may be holding them back, and support them in developing new habits and patterns that align with their goals. Furthermore, we may also provide guidance and feedback as they navigate challenges and obstacles and celebrate their successes along the way. Se strive to help our clients lead more fulfilling and purposeful lives, and to empower them to create the changes they want to see in themselves and in the world around them.

Mediation Specialist

As Mediation Specialists, our role is to help facilitate communication and negotiation between two or more parties who are in a dispute. We provide a neutral and impartial space for the parties to discuss their concerns and work towards a resolution that is acceptable to all parties involved. During the mediation process, we may ask questions, reframe issues, and encourage each party to listen to and actively consider the other's perspective. We may also help the parties generate options for resolution and assist them in drafting a written agreement. Our focus is to help the parties find a mutually acceptable solution to their dispute, while avoiding the need for costly and time-consuming litigation.
